Founded in 2025 by Troi Sharpp, the studio began as a personal ritual — a way to bring beauty into everyday life. After moving back to Chicago from Northern California, Troi found herself inspired by the abundance of locally grown blooms at year-round farmers markets and the San Francisco Flower Market.

What started as buying flowers for her own space quickly became a creative practice. Through intuitive sourcing and arranging, she discovered not only a love for design, but the joy of creating meaningful arrangements for the people around her.

Sonder & Whimsy was born from that experience — a desire to make flowers feel more accessible, more intentional, and more present in everyday life.

Each arrangement is designed with movement, seasonality, and care, offering a thoughtful balance of beauty and expression. Rooted in both creativity and connection, the studio exists to bring a sense of ease, joy, and artistry to the way flowers are experienced in Chicago.
